The Ender Gaming Club is closing
📆
June 30, 2026
Hello to everyone in the Ender Gaming Club community,
This is Host Lead Alex. I'm writing today to let everyone know that the Ender Gaming Club will be shutting its doors. The final day of club will be Tuesday, June 30th.
Why are we shutting down?
Over time we've seen a decline in our membership numbers, which has made it difficult to ensure that our hosts can be properly compensated for their hard work. In recent months every single penny we've recieved has gone towards paying for our overhead costs and the labor costs of having live hosts during club; management has not received a cut of the business's income for a year and a half. Sadly, our subscription income has declined to the point where the business cannot continue in its current state.
What happens to active subscriptions? Will there be refunds?
We've cancelled all recurring subscriptions, and we've also processed full refunds to the fullest extent we can afford based on recency - most customers who had more than half of their subscription period left have received a full refund. No action is required from customers, and no future subscription charges will be processed.
What happens to the Minecraft builds kids have created?
Our intention is to keep the Minecraft server open for the foreseeable future; a subscription won't be required to access the server, and it will be open 24/7, but only accounts that already had access to the server will be able to log in. This will allow kids to see the builds they've created and even continue playing if they so choose. Because there will no longer be hosts around to moderate user activity and want to ensure kids stay safe, we'll disable in-game chat and other communication methods.
Can we be connected with parents of our child's friends from club?
Yes - if you reach out to us directly, either via email or text, let us know the names of kids whose parents you'd like to be connected to. We'll reach out on your behalf, and if they're okay with us sharing their contact information we'll help you make a connection so you can organize opportunities for them to play together outside of club.
Is Ender going away completely?
Hopefully not - we're planning to start offering small-group classes led by our hosts in the near future. Kayleigh already runs an Advanced Survival Minecraft class for 1 hour a day, 5 days a week, and we hope to start up some additional classes in the future. You'll be able to find more info on our same website, at joinender.com, as it comes available.
We really appreciate all of the families that were a part of this journey with us. We'll be in touch once we begin launching our new class offerings with more information, and we hope you will consider signing up for them.
